Anatole France (16 de abril de 1844 - 12 de outubro de 1924), nascido François-Anatole Thibault, foi um poeta, jornalista e romancista francês. Considerado um dos maiores escritores franceses de sua geração, France foi agraciado com o Prêmio Nobel de Literatura em 1921 "em reconhecimento às suas brilhantes conquistas literárias, caracterizadas por nobreza de estilo, profunda simpatia humana, graça e um verdadeiro temperamento galês".
