Ramón Sender Barahona was born on February 3, 1901, in Chalamera, Huesca. He was a prominent figure in 20th-century Spanish literature, especially during the Second Republic and the Spanish Civil War. As a journalist, he worked for various newspapers and published novels that explored themes such as the struggle for land, social injustice, and Aragonese identity. Among his best-known works are 'Crónica del Alba' and 'Réquiem por un Campesino Español'. Sender was also actively involved in politics, which led him into exile after the Civil War. His work, although sometimes forgotten, is an important testament to Spanish history and culture.
