Primo Levi (31 de julho de 1919 – 11 de abril de 1987) foi um escritor, químico e resistente italiano, além de
sobrevivente do Holocausto. Nascido em Turim, Levi se formou em química em 1941. Em 1943, ele se juntou à
resistência antifascista, mas foi preso e enviado para o campo de concentração de Auschwitz. Sua experiência
lá o levou a escrever o livro seminal "É isto um homem" (Se questo è un uomo), um relato pungente e
objetivo de seu tempo no campo. Outras obras importantes incluem "A Tregua" (a continuação de "É isto um homem"),
"A Tabela Periódica" e "É Se Não Agora, Quando?". A escrita de Levi é marcada por sua clareza, precisão
e profunda humanidade, explorando temas de memória, identidade e a natureza do mal.
