Alfonso Reyes dedicated a large part of his life to the study of classical literature and the dissemination of Hispanic culture. He studied Law at the National University of Mexico and later moved to Paris, where he began his diplomatic career and deepened his literary studies. He was a founding member of the Mexican Academy of Language and held diplomatic positions in several countries, including Argentina, Spain, and France. His work is marked by erudition, classicism, and a profound reflection on Latin American identity and Western literary tradition. Among his most notable works are 'Visión de Anáhuac', 'El deslinde', and 'Rimas'. Reyes was internationally recognized for his contribution to literature and thought, being frequently associated with intellectual movements of his time.
